Erin Pizzey is of course the famous woman who opened the first Women's Shelter in the world. This was back when she thought domestic violence was a multi-faceted problem, before the domestic violence cause had been hijacked by female supremacists and turned into a "men always bad, women always good" issue.
Erin Pizzey has had death threats, has been booed off the stage when speaking about domestic violence, had reduced funding for her shelters and much more, all because of the fact that she categorically denies that Domestic Violence is a male-on-female act in which no woman can harm any man, that all women are subject to all men, and other sacred feminist cows. She is quite the MRA ally for that reason.
Anyway, here is her book about domestic violence: Prone to Violence. It has been banned and you will have a very hard time finding it at your local bookstore, library or even amazon.com. ReplyDeleteLies can stand only for so much time. Beyond that, even the person speaking the lie starts feeling ashamed or will be exposed.
My brother earns quite a lot of money and gives it all to his wife every month. Just to give you a perspective, they have 2 houses - one house rented out and the other they recently bought. They have 2 cars, one of which is a $60,000 car. Despite the mortgage + car payments, they save around 50% of the salary. He has 2 toddlers and wife prefers to stay at home.
Now, the real fun starts. He cannot spend a single penny without taking her permission. If she doesn't get her way, she becomes hysterical, bangs the doors etc.. Kids ( one is 3 years and the other is 6 months) get scared and start crying. My brother is a very meek person and cannot stand the pain of crying children. So he becomes scared and pleads with her to calm down. But the opposite happens - the more she sees he is scared, the more hysterical she gets until she gets her way. What should he do?
I have advised him to:
* call 000 (Australia's 911) whenever she goes hysterical
* Get a private account where he can put % of his own salary so that he has financial independence.
But he is afraid of doing that as he thinks she'll get back harder at him later. Also he thinks that all laws favor women and things can instead turn around against him. Any advise?
